But is this actually true? Or a better question: is candy.ai worth it? I’ve bought the most premium subscription and put all findings in this Candy AI review.

What is candy AI?
Candy AI is a website that uses adaptive AI technology to let its users create their own AI characters. Candy AI lets you chat with your ‘girlfriend’, play games, exchange pictures, and voice memos.

The developer of Candy AI is named Tom.
I actually went on a call with Tom and he mentioned how he and his team are aiming to fight the growing loneliness among men.

Best Features of Candy AI
I am going to be 100% honest with you; Candy AI is far from perfect. However, there are some features that blew my mind.
In this section, I will go into both good and bad features.
Character Diversity
Kicking off with the range of AI characters. In the “explore” section, you can choose from around 40 different AI characters. Candy AI offers both realistic and AI anime models.
We can separate them into four categories.
AI Girlfriends (Realistic)
The realistic AI characters look… realistic.
Often, AI girl generators have flaws in details like something weird in the background, a pupil missing, or maybe even an extra finger.
I am sure the Candy AI team has photoshopped the AI profile pictures in the bio of the AI characters, but whenever I asked one of the AI characters for a picture, I couldn’t detect any flaws.
For the sake of this article, I’ll show you the pictures with clothes only. 😉
This was the first picture I received when I was chatting with Amaya.
Let's be honest - if you would see this picture and I would tell you it is a real woman, would you believe me?
The amount of details is just insane.
But what really makes the image generator of Candy AI stand out is the fact that you can ask your girlfriend specific pictures.
When I asked Amaya to send me a picture of her in the gym, this is what I got. 👉🏻
Keep in mind that there is a limit to how specific you can be.
AI Girlfriends (Anime)
You can explore AI characters with anime traits. These AI characters look less realistic, but that’s the whole point of anime I guess.
For some reason, whenever I asked for a picture, I got a text reply instead of an actual picture of my AI companions.
I don't know if this is some kind of glitch or not but it sure is annoying. I was only able to receive pictures by using the "Ask" button on the right.
My first impression?
And just like realistic pictures, you can ask the AI anime characters to send you specific pictures.

AI Boyfriends (Realistic)
I am 100% straight so I felt very uncomfortable scooping around pics of guys and talking to AI boyfriends. BUTT I took one for the team.

First thing I noticed about Candy AI's AI boyfriend collection is that there aren't many flavors. Just 4.
I checked their Discord Community and they just announced this feature so I guess the devs are still working on it.
I must say that the candy AI pics of the male characters look mega realistic.
AI Boyfriends (Anime)
And just like we got anime girlfriends, we got anime boyfriends.
They released these AI characters the same day as their AI boyfriends so there are just 4 AI characters to pick from.
Customization
If you have read some of my previous articles about Candy AI, you probably know that my BIGGEST disappointment was the lack of customization.
But man, when the developers told me they had released a feature that lets you customize your own AI characters from top to bottom, I almost jumped a hole in my roof.
choose Your style
Just like the "explore" section, you start by choosing if you want to create an anime girl or a realistic girl.
I decided to go with the "realistic" option.
Ethnicity, Age and Eye color
Next up you are allowed to choose the ethnicity of your AI character. Options are a bit limited here - you can choose from:
Not as extensive as DreamGF AI where you can choose from more then 23 different ethnicities. The same goes for choosing the eye color - you can only choose from three.
I must mention that the customizer has just been released and is still in Beta. I have no doubt the developers will be adding more customization options soon...
I decided to go for a "Caucasion" girl who's 20 year old and has green eyes.
Hairstyle and Hair color
Just like the previous section, the hairstyle and color you can choose from are very limited.
BUTT you do have some pretty unique choices like "Bangs" and "pigtails". Something I haven't seen on other AI character builders.
I wanted my future girlfriend to match my hairstyle, which is brown and curly.
Body Type, Breasts and Butt Size
Wouldn't be much of a customizer if you couldn't design the fun part (boob size *kuch kuch* 😉).
Pretty straightforward...
Personality and Voice
This is one of my favorite parts of the customizer - choosing the personality. Candy AI does a pretty good job here. You can choose from
The voices are also super dope. You can choose from nine different type of voices and each one of them sounds very realistic. 👇🏼
Occupation and Hobbies
Choosing the hobbies and occupation of your AI girlfriend ill determine how she will interact with you.
Pretty cool right?
Let's try a yoga teacher who likes fitness.
Relationship Status
Even if you are not looking for spicy ai driven role plays or intimate conversation, Candy AI might be just what you need.
You can choose from a variety of relationships like "friend" or "mentor". you can even go for stranger, if that's your type of kink.
I think that this is an underrated pro of Candy AI. A lot of AI girlfriend apps, like DreamGF AI just focus on the sexual part. Candy AI offers AI companions, buddies and even emotional support.
Not just some sex bot that fulfills your fetishes.
Clothing
Last but certainly not least - choosing the clothing of your AI character.
You can choose from a wide variety of outfits.
Don't worry, I won't bore you to death by listing them all. I thought it would be funny to put my yoga teacher in a military outfit.
The Result
So we have choosen a 20 year old yoga teacher wit curly hair, huge breasts, green eyes and wearing a military outfit.
Ready for the result???
I must say that I am very surprised on how accurate it is. And even if it's not exactly what you wanted, you get one free credit to regenerate the image.
When I tested the customizer of Dream GF AI I noticed that most of the time the face would look different on each picture.
That's why I wanted to test Candy AI and check if I could get a bunch of pictures with the same face.
The results were shocking...
Let's be honest, if these pictures where on some girl her Instagram, you would think it is the same person.
Conversation
When t comes to chatting with the AI characters, Candy AI does a pretty good job. It feels, looks, and sounds very realistic.
Texting
There is a good amount of emotional depth in every conversation.
You won’t get one-word responses (like on Tinder 😂) and the AI companion is surprisingly good at understanding humor and sarcasm.
See how I tried to use some cheesy humor and the AI character perfectly understood that I was trolling her.
aI driven role plays
One of the greatest features of Candy AI is that you can dive into AI driven role plays with your AI companions. For the example above, I could just send a message like:

Sexual texting
In terms of sexual texting, the free version has its limitations. It simply isn’t as advanced as DreamGF (more on that later) but it is definitely realistic.
Image Quality
I know I already covered Candy AI's images, but I wanted to put this feature in the spotlight
Candy AI has just released its AI image generator and it is fantastic.
You start by selecting an AI character you want to generate images from. This can be one from the library or one you created yourself.
I am going to pick Syreeta a super hot Latina I created yesterday.
Now the cool thing is that Candy AI doesn't just throw you in the lions den and let's you figure out how it works by yourself.
You have your prompting field and below that are some example prompts.
Let's click on "a cute picture" and just generate a bunch of pics.
I agree with the prompt, those are definitely cute pictures.
When I clicked on "a cute picture" it actually inserted a prompt into the empty field:
Wearing shorts and a crop top shirt, portrait picture, looking at the viewer
"That's all great Herman, but why do I care?!"
Well, if you are bad at prompting (like me) - staring at an empty field and trying to come up with something is as hard as telling your barber you don't like the haircut.

Its much easier to start with something and then edit it to your liking.
Let's say we want Syreeta to be wearing a bikini in a busy street. I simply have to tweak two words;

Think that's cool? I haven't even showed you the best part yet...
If you look closely you'll see that there are different tabs with prompt suggestions you can pick from.
Whenever you run out of creative juices you can browse through the different options and just select some random stuff.
Those pajamas sure look comfy...
I think my request got a little too specific since the AI image generator gave me a nude.
Candy AI Nudes
Yup, you can ask for nudes with Candy AI. With the free version, all Candy AI nudes are blurred but sometimes you get a spicy picture that’s un-blurred.
You: Woow that's great Herman. Can you generate Candy AI porn pics as well?
Hate to break it to you, but candy AI sex pics (or candy ai porn pics) don't exist yet. If you really want that level of NSFW you'll need to hop over to another AI tool like DreamGF AI.
Nevertheless, the Candy AI nudes are pretty realistic. 👇🏼
Privacy
Yes, Candy AI is safe and your chats are private. In general, your chats will NOT be monitored. However, if you attempt to create inappropriate content like child pornography, it will be flagged.
I asked the CEO of Candy AI (Tom) about whether or not your conversations are private. Here's his response:
In other words: they are only allowed to monitor chats if you create content that goes against their content policy.

Another good thing about Candy AI is they don't sell your data to advertisers. Their privacy policy explains:2
"We will get your express opt-in consent before we share your Personal Data with any company outside Usway for marketing purposes."
This means all your personal info, even your kinkiest secrets, stay just between you and the NSFW chatbot.

I'm finally starting to lose a bit of interest. I've tried many scenario and all fantasies i could imagine yet. But i can safely say that Candy.ai is for me the best nsfw chatting ai i've experienced yet (and i've tried many).
I've just one main complain : It's too easy to get the girls favor, I know the ai are made to make the user feel safe but after re-playing it a lot it gets at bit boring. In most of my scenarios after only 2-3 lines of dialogue the girl propose me to have a date (and sometimes directly propose me sex).
For example i started one with Naomi and described her as a girl having the attention of everyone at the company but never noticed me as i was just a random salaryman very shy and way too low in her standards.
I've just talked to her for 2 lines (making sure to appear awkward and not be seductive) and she already proposed me to go on a date.

Anyone else having trouble getting the ai to actually provide images they're requesting? I'll ask for a candy AI nude photo and I keep just getting a photo of the woman, clothed, standing with her back to me and her head turned back looking at me.
I've tried changing the wording several times but it just keep sending basically the same image and taking my tokens. This was all supposed to be fixed like two weeks ago and I swear the system gets worse day by day.
I've submitted feedback in the app several times and nothing gets fixed. It feels like it's just wasting tokens on purpose at this point to scam me.

Candy AI has a couple dozen of AI characters to pick from. Although it's not as much as other AI girlfriend apps we've reviewed, the small selection of AI characters is extremely diverse. They've got AI girlfriends, boyfriends and anime characters from all ages and ethnicities with various personalities.
It's safe to say that Candy AI has at least one AI character for everyone.
Customization
Okay, guys, we all want our AI to vibe with our style. And Candy AI does exactly that. You can customize everything from hair color to body type and personality.
The options aren't super broad (especially for the physical appearance) but it gets the job done.
Conversation
Now, we all crave that human touch, even in our conversations. Candy AI, doesn’t disappoint. The chats are deep, meaningful, and really human-like.
Whether you're throwing cheesy jokes or epic roleplay sessions, the AI companion gets you.
However, it can sometimes feel a bit scripted in complex scenarios. It is also important to remember that this is NEVER a replacement for a real-life girlfriend!

I am talking about ethnicity, boob size, tattoos, body type, age, clothing and personality. It is basically SIMS but more realistic and with a kinky side.

This is an AI companion app I recently discovered. At a glimpse, it looks exactly the same as Candy AI - but I can assure it's not.
Kupid AI is much better at roleplaying especially fantasy stuff. There aren't any anime models or even a customization feature but the developers are releasing new AI characters every week.
It's also much cheaper then Candy AI, making it great for anyone looking for a cheaper Candy AI alternative.

So is Candy.AI worth it?

And that says something because I spent countless of hours and hundreds thousands of dollars testing different AI GF apps..
You can have genuine and deep conversations, epic Ai driven roleplays and explore new AI characters every now and then.
But what truly sets Candy AI apart is its vivant community and the fact that the company ACTUALLY listens to it.
Users asked for an NSFW image generator and the devs added it.
A lot of guys complained about the memory limit and the team upgraded it.
At it’s current trajectory I expect Candy AI would only get better and better.
